Job Title: Materials/Warehouse Technician
Job Type: Contract
IR35 Status: Inside
Location: Torness
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm
We are seeking a skilled Materials/Warehouse Technician to join our client's team at Torness. As a member of the Materials Team, you will provide a comprehensive stock management service to support the safe and effective operations and maintenance on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receipt and inspection of spares and materials, including reviewing documentation to ensure adherence to specification.
- Issue and return of spare parts and materials.
- Cycle counting and in-warehouse parts life management.
- General warehouse duties, interacting with goods deliveries/collections.
- Using forklift trucks for parts management and logistics.
- Undertake necessary administrative tasks.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a parts warehouse/logistics environment is essential.
- An ability to interpret and interrogate product datasheets and certification as well as general spreadsheet data.
- Excellent communication, written and verbal, with the ability to multi-task and a keen eye for attention to detail.
- Competent with Microsoft Office applications and general IT proficiency.
- Forklift licence (counter-balance and reach truck) is not essential, but preferable.
