About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Delivery Manager to join our team at Thales Optronics and Missile Electronics (OME). This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of large-scale engineering projects and make a significant impact on our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead high-performing engineering teams to deliver complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and implement project strategies to ensure successful delivery, including defining project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with Programme Directors, Senior Programme Managers, and Head of Engineering Delivery to ensure alignment and effective communication across the organisation.
  • Manage and report on engineering efficiency, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to drive business benefits.
  • Act as a People Manager for the engineering team, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure the success of the team members.
Requirements
  • Extensive background in engineering and engineering management on large programmes, with demonstrable experience in successfully defining and leading the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire high-performing teams.
  • Knowledge and experience of naval products would be beneficial to this role.
