Mentor for High-Need Students

**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Education Outreach Specialist to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a key member of our Outreach/Attendance Team, you will play a vital role in supporting and mentoring students with high needs and complex challenges.
**Responsibilities**
• Support and mentor students with a range of additional needs, including social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
• Collaborate with students, families, and school staff to develop and implement tailored education plans.
• Provide one-to-one support and small group work to encourage student engagement and attendance.
• Work closely with parents and carers to promote positive relationships and address attendance issues.
• Demonstrate expertise in relating to young people with challenging behaviors and develop strategies to manage risk associated with substance misuse.
• Hold a valid Right to Work in the UK and a enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service.
**Requirements**
• Hold experience of working with Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4 pupils and their families.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with young people, parents, and school staff.
• Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and vulnerable young people.
