Job Summary:

Gregory Distribution is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our team. As a Class 1 Tramper Driver, you will be responsible for collecting and delivering customers' products on a curtain-sided trailer, ensuring load security using ratchet straps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver loads throughout the UK, both full and groupage loads, to meet customer expectations.
  • Use a handheld PDA to complete paperwork and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide excellent customer service, dealing with customers face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Collaborate with the transport team to ensure smooth operations and manage customer expectations.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
  • Be in possession of a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Have experience in delivering loads directly to client sites, preferably in a similar role.
  • Be passionate about providing exceptional customer service and working to deadlines.
  • Be a confident, polite, and team-oriented individual with good geographical knowledge.
  • Be physically fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
