Job Summary

Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of a Year 3 learner with Autism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with the learner, promoting a growth mindset and encouraging social, emotional, and communication skills.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to create and implement individualized learning plans, ensuring the learner's needs are met and goals are achieved.
  • Provide support and guidance to the learner in a variety of settings, including the classroom and during extracurricular activities.
  • Work closely with the school's senior leaders to contribute to a culture of inclusion and success for all learners.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting learners with Autism.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children with additional needs, particularly Autism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with learners, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Commitment to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
