Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Residential Environment Maintainer to join our housekeeping team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a high level of satisfaction for our guests.

  • You will be responsible for retrieving items from shelves and storerooms, setting up cleaning carts with supplies, and organizing them in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Cleaning and wiping windows, doors, walls, closets, and fixtures in rooms, public areas, and hallways to maintain a clean and presentable facility at all times.
  • Washing all hard floor areas (linoleum, tile, etc.)
  • Dusting and polishing all furniture, fixtures, and wall hangings, including using a duster to reach vents and ceiling corners.
  • Stripping bed of all linen and remaking with fresh linen, checking bedspread, blankets, and bed pads for cleanliness and replacing if soiled.
  • Lifting/moving heavy furniture to vacuum the entire area of carpet, including underneath furniture and hard-to-reach areas.
  • Inspecting all room equipment (TV, lights/lamps, faucets, docking stations, and iPods) to ensure proper working order and reporting any rooms with deficiencies in writing to the Executive Housekeeper for prompt repair/resolution.
  • Securing and maintaining custody of equipment, keys, and supplies at all times to protect and preserve hotel property.
  • Cleaning patio/balcony areas by sweeping or hosing the floor and wiping down all furniture and fixtures, picking up garbage and cleaning patio/balcony doors and windows.
  • Providing assistance to other employees and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • You must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions and communicate both verbally and in writing.

Estimated Salary

We estimate the salary for this position to be between $25,000 and $35,000 per year, based on industry standards and the hotel's location.
