About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Deputy Ward Manager to join our team at Priory Hospital Burgess Hill. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Support the recruitment and retention of staff, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and service delivery.
Requirements
  • Qualified as a Registered Nurse with a passion for patient care and a commitment to delivering high-quality services.
  • Excellent clinical knowledge and experience of care planning, risk assessment, and report writing.
  • Knowledge of Mental Health Act legislation and statutory regulations.
  • Experience of staffing, skill mix, and leading shifts.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership and guidance to junior staff.
