About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team at Power Electrics. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the service and maintenance of our rental fleet and customers' own equipment in the South Wales region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fault finding and diagnosing issues with generator sets
  • Performing engine electrical and mechanical problem resolution
  • Replacing electrical and mechanical components
  • Carrying out basic wet and dry engine service
  • Modifying and tweaking control panels
  • Liaising with customers to ensure complete satisfaction
  • Providing call-out cover for generator breakdowns
  • Complying with company health and safety policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Diesel Fitting/Plant
  • Good fault-finding abilities and strong communication skills
  • Previous experience working in a Field Service environment
  • Full Driving Licence (with towing categories preferred)
  • Good customer awareness and ability to respond to customers' requirements effectively
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
