Essential Skills ICT Tutor Opportunity

Randstad UK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Essential Skills ICT Tutor to join our team at Belfast Metropolitan College. As an Essential Skills ICT Tutor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality training and assessment to students, helping them to develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their chosen careers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct training needs analysis to identify the skills gap between current and desired trainee skill levels.
  • Deliver training and provide support for trainees undertaking Essential Skills programmes.
  • Ensure all training and assessment materials used are of the highest quality and are appropriate to support training and assessment.
  • Develop and deliver innovative programmes, including the use of technologies.
  • Understand the training needs of the trainee population and deliver challenging and exciting training sessions.
Requirements:
  • Hold GCSE English Language, Maths, and ICT (Grades A-C) or Essential Skills Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Hold a degree obtained at a UK or Irish university, with ICT forming a minimum of 50% of the subject studied.
  • Be previously recognised by the Department for the Economy (DfE) for teaching Essential Skills in Northern Ireland.
  • Have excellent MS Office skills.
  • Be subject to enhanced vetting, including Access NI and compliance due to the nature of the work.
