Job Description:
This is a permanent role that offers the opportunity to work with an extremely dedicated team and have a positive impact on children's educational experiences. As SENCo, you will lead the SEND provision across the school, working in conjunction with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure all statutory and legal requirements are met for children with special educational needs.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead SEND provision across the school
- Work in conjunction with SLT to ensure effective implementation of SEND strategies
- Ensure all statutory and legal requirements are met for children with SEND
- Lead Annual Review meetings
- Create and review support plans with teachers and parents
- Liaise regularly with parents to keep them informed
- Deploy SEND staff and resources effectively
- Monitor and evaluate SEND staff performance
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SEND legislation
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- National Award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (NASENCO)
