Emergency Care Nurse Leader

**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced and passionate nurse leader to manage and lead our busy nurse-led minor injuries unit within the Emergency Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing outstanding nursing team leadership, demonstrating evidence-based clinical practice and leadership within the multi-professional team.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage and develop patient care in the minor injuries unit autonomously
- Ensure the safe and effective running of the minor injury unit service provision
- Provide enthusiastic and innovative nursing team leadership

Person Specification
- Essential qualifications: Degree or equivalent and relevant experience RN, Specialist A&E/ED course, Mentorship Course or Equivalent, ALS or equivalent
- Desirable qualifications: Leadership/Management Course, Masters or Masters Level Achievements
Experience
- Essential experience: ED leadership experience at Band 6
Knowledge
- Essential knowledge: Clinical experience within Emergency Care, Evidence of continual professional development of self and others, Service quality improvement in practice, Knowledge of current and emerging NHS strategy and policy, Audit and analysis skills, Knowledge and application of health and safety policy and legislation
Skills
- Essential skills: Excellent people management skills with understanding of HR practice/policy, Excellent emotional intelligence to situations and people, Ability to manage risk, risk assess and mitigate against risk
