This role is part of our Education division, catering to students. Our mission is to provide high-quality, nutritious, and sustainable food for our younger generation. We're committed to supporting a healthy diet and strive to be a leader in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and company standards.
  • Ensure food quality and presentation meet our high standards through planning, cooking, and presentation.
  • Comply with food and premise legislation, maintaining accurate records and control procedures.
  • Manage food production and service within a set budget, optimizing resources and minimizing waste.
  • Handle unit clerical duties, using digital or paper systems in line with company policies.
  • Track and reconcile expenses, cash receipts, and stock usage, ensuring accurate financial records.
  • Manage, train, and develop staff within the unit, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Order and track supplies from approved vendors, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
  • Display accurate weekly menus and maintain hygiene, Food Safety, and Health & Safety standards as per regulations.
  • Exhibit statutory notices and address incidents, such as accidents, thefts, or property damages.
  • Coordinate with the Area Manager/Supervisor to adjust staffing levels as needed, ensuring optimal unit performance.
  • Monitor portion control and ensure cleanliness of premises and equipment, addressing spillages promptly.
  • Assist with dining furniture setup, cleaning, and storage, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Report equipment defects to school/management, ensuring timely maintenance and repair.
  • Undertake tasks as needed for efficient unit operation and fulfill company requests, including staff development and training.

Elior is committed to safeguarding children and colleagues. Candidates shortlisted for this role will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including the Children's Barred List, and provide two suitable references.

Working Pattern:

Monday to Friday, 6 hours per day, term time only.
