Job Title: Principal Human Factors Engineer

A challenging opportunity has arisen for a skilled Human Factors Engineer to join our team in Coventry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions to improve operator performance and safety.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Human Factors Specialist with a strong background in engineering design, human computer interaction, and user experience. You will work closely with our cross-functional team to understand operator tasks, identify design issues, and develop solutions to improve operability.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Designing and implementing Human Computer Interaction (HCI) solutions
  • Conducting user trials to assess developing designs and optimize user interaction
  • Providing human reliability analysis and human factors support to safety cases
  • Collaborating with engineers to optimize system processes and improve operator performance

Key Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A degree in Human Factors/Ergonomics or a related discipline (e.g. Psychology, Industrial Design)
  • Experience with mentoring and coaching others
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience of working on complex engineering projects
