Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Order Management Specialist to join our client's team in Preston. This is a permanent role with a competitive salary, offering a unique opportunity for someone who excels in processing sales and purchase orders.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing order deliveries, liaising with internal personnel and clients, and obtaining comparative prices from vendors. They will also book in orders, ensure systems are up-to-date with delivery scheduling, and liaise with logistics companies. Additionally, they will obtain proof of deliveries, take payments for goods, and check for stock availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process sales and purchase orders efficiently
  • Manage order deliveries and ensure timely completion
  • Liaise with internal teams and external clients to resolve any issues
  • Obtain comparative prices from vendors to optimize purchasing decisions
  • Book in orders and maintain accurate records
  • Liaise with logistics companies to coordinate deliveries
  • Verify proof of deliveries and payment receipts
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities. You should have experience using SAGE or similar accounting software and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
