Consultant (Full or part-time) - Clinical Leadership Role

The Trust is seeking a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our Learning Disability Service. The successful candidate will provide clinical care to young people with learning disabilities in Suffolk and will have clinical lead responsibility across the under 18 Learning Disability service.
The team provides a dedicated service for children and young people with learning disabilities, where there are concerns about their behaviour and/or mental health. We work closely with multiple outside agencies, including schools, colleges, and social care. We are committed to constantly improving our service and offer opportunities for professional development.
The successful candidate will be part of the Clinical Leadership team for the Learning Disability Services across Suffolk. We are looking for someone who can lead by example and work autonomously, thinking about how the service can continue to improve. We have a can-do culture and encourage creative thinking.
The role offers a range of benefits, including access to a £12,000 relocation allowance, a £15,000 retention bonus, and a loyalty scheme bonus of £2,500 over five years. We also offer a £2,000 per annum professional development budget and paid study leave.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical care to young people with learning disabilities in Suffolk
- Have clinical lead responsibility across the under 18 Learning Disability service
- Work as part of the Clinical Leadership team for the Learning Disability Services across Suffolk
- Lead by example and work autonomously, thinking about how the service can continue to improve
Requirements:
- 3 years or equivalent medical experience
- Leadership qualities
- Driving Licence/able to travel independently
- Experience of supervising junior medical staff
