About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Innovation Coordinator to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a key member of our Technical Innovation team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of innovative and Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) across our business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Technical Innovation team in the delivery of MMC, providing guidance and information to ensure successful implementation.
  • Identify and understand risks and opportunities in future services and utilities provision on Vistry Group's developments, including low carbon heating solutions, electric vehicle infrastructure, and smart home technology.
  • Carry out analytical assessments for the Group on key areas associated with innovation, including energy efficiency, waste management, and embodied carbon.
  • Support the development and delivery of zero-carbon homes roadmap for the Vistry Group.
  • Liaise with regional business units and attend meetings to progress all matters relevant to the role.
  • Support low energy technology trials, facilitating workshops sessions with regional teams, trades, sales, and site management to capture lessons learned and deliver continuous improvement.
  • Support the team's communication strategy, ensuring all business units and relevant external stakeholders remain informed.
  • Support bid writing with the land and planning team, ensuring all areas relating to technical sustainability have been covered sufficiently.
  • Keep the business informed with new innovations and case studies via regular communications through VIBE and other media.
Requirements
  • Educated to HNC/HND in a construction, environmental, or engineering-related qualification.
  • Technical knowledge/understanding of all forms of construction methods, including MMC systems in housebuilding.
  • Understanding of policy context and market drivers/challenges for MMC/innovation.
  • An understanding of integrating MMC, heat pumps, solar PV, battery energy storage, and electric vehicle charging points.
  • Experience of Timber Frame, including design, regulation, and manufacture.
  • Ability to network and work effectively within organisations and the wider housing sector to support governance and decision-making processes.
  • Quick and eager to learn, with a focus on continuous development.
  • Well-organised and methodical, with an eye for detail.
  • Positive attitude towards teamwork.
  • Presenting and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent team working and communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Comfortable with contributing to meetings.
  • Knowledge of BIM, AutoCAD, and Revit, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Experience in house building/residential industry is desirable.
