Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team as a Technical Lead. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, developing the team, and driving digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish project briefs and agree implementation strategies with clients.
  • Prepare feasibility reports, including expenditure, optional costs, and anticipated programmes.
  • Review procurement strategies and advise on contract forms, cost certainty, flexibility, and timescales.
  • Liaise with project team members to ensure proposed solutions meet client briefs.
  • Produce tender documentation, including reviewing design information and responding to queries.
  • Monitor design development and track commercial impact on agreed budgets.
  • Attend tender openings, undertake adjudication, and convene post-tender interviews.
  • Collate contract documentation and ensure it is complete and properly executed.
  • Convene, chair, and minute progress meetings, as agreed.
  • Undertake post-contract administration duties, including issuing instructions and certificates.
  • Provide regular progress reports, anticipating potential issues and advising possible solutions.
  • Agree final accounts, considering all matters impacting cost and implementation.
  • Disseminate correspondence and other material pertaining to projects, including saving data in accordance with company policy.
  • Provide technical support to the team and company on an ad hoc basis.
  • Keep up-to-date with new initiatives, changes in legislation, and industry developments.
Requirements:
  • Professional Member of the RICS or close to achieving Chartered status.
  • Experience of various construction projects in public and private sectors, including healthcare, education, and housing refurbishment.
  • Proven knowledge of Quantity Surveying, including pre- and post-contract duties.
  • Conversant with Excel spreadsheets and standard Windows applications.
  • Familiarity with bespoke industry software, such as Causeway CATO.
  • Proven experience of delivering projects to time and budget.
  • Effective communication skills in a client-facing role.
