Manufacturing Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Equipment Specialist to join our team at Leonardo in Edinburgh. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for developing, improving, and supporting the operations equipment and equipment processes to enable world-class production of Leonardo products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Improve manufacturing equipment processes to reduce costs and timescales.
- Participate in uptime/utilization data analysis for Overall Operational Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Maintain and calibrate manufacturing equipment, conducting TPM to schedule.
- Interface with the Calibration Services provider to support calibration and repair requirements of manufacturing and test equipment.
- Assist in keeping spares aimed at maintenance, repair, and upgrade activities.
- Resolve routine manufacturing equipment issues and constraints on the shop floor.
- Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing EPA/ESD arrangements.
- Maintain manufacturing equipment documentation set, e.g., maintenance schedule and process checklist.
- Maintain manufacturing equipment critical spares and oversee obsolescence.
- Support the maintenance of manufacturing support facilities and services.
- Support Manufacturing Engineering in preparation of Manufacturing Maturity Reviews.
- Participate in Equipment Criticality Assessment/Risk Assessment processes.
- Support internal and external audits of Manufacturing, Test Equipment, and Calibration processes.
- May supervise an Industrial Placement or Summer Student.
- Good practical knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles.
- Data analysis skills.
- Demonstrated achievement of own tasks within equipment engineering discipline.
- Awareness of related engineering disciplines and levels of interaction required within an IPT.
- Experience of measurement techniques and the use of equipment relevant to manufacturing facilities.
- Experience of manufacturing equipment, facilities, and supporting services, including Clean Rooms and Environmental Facilities.
