Job Overview

This is a self-employed position that requires flexibility and adaptability. As an interpreter, you will work with clients from diverse backgrounds, facilitating communication between service users and providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret for individuals using legal, health, and local government services
  • Verify the non-English speaker's understanding after each sentence
  • Provide consecutive and public service interpreting services
  • Liaise between service users and providers, ensuring seamless communication

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and another language
  • All applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • You must be aged 21 or over
  • Formal qualifications such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) or Community Interpreting are advantageous
