Academic Mentor Role in Lambeth

Ribbons and Reeves Limited is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Academic Mentor to join our team in an outstanding Secondary School in Lambeth.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to support high-achieving students up to KS5 in their academic journey. As an Academic Mentor, you will work closely with students, teachers, and other support staff to provide guidance, encouragement, and support to help students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with high-achieving GCSE and A-level students to support their academic progress and achievement.
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to students, helping them to set and achieve academic goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective learning strategies and interventions.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and student well-being.
Requirements
  • 1:1 or 2:1 degree from a top UK University in a relevant subject area.
  • Strong A-Level or GCSE results in the relevant subject area.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £500-£550 per week, paid on a PAYE basis including holiday pay. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with a role beginning in September and running until the end of the academic school year.
