Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Heritage Strategist to lead our efforts in the Midlands and East region, ensuring that heritage is valued, cared for, and sustained for everyone.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position based in one of our offices in Birmingham, Cambridge, or Nottingham. As a Heritage Strategist, you will be responsible for delivering our strategy, Heritage 2033, across the Midlands and East Area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a dispersed team to ensure efficient, coordinated, and integrated delivery of Heritage 2033
  • Oversee delegated decisions on applications for grants up to £250,000
  • Support the work of the Area Committee, which decides on larger bids
  • Undertake advocacy work on behalf of the Heritage Fund
Requirements
