We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Leader for Young People Support to join our team at Austin Fraser. As a Leader, you will play a vital role in supporting the manager in the day-to-day running of the service, which supports young people between the ages of 10-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and managerial skills, with experience leading within a residential home for children & young people with EBD. You will be responsible for promoting independence and well-being among residents, maintaining a safe environment, and developing good working relationships with staff, parents, and other professionals involved in their lives.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people while starting on a career path within health & social care. As a Leader for Young People Support, you will be part of a dynamic team that delivers high-quality care and support to vulnerable young people.

The estimated salary for this position is up to £35,600 per annum, plus overtime opportunities. The rota is 2 on 4 off, providing a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the manager in the day-to-day running of the service
  • Promote independence and well-being among residents
  • Maintain a safe environment for young people
  • Develop good working relationships with staff, parents, and professionals

Requirements:

  • NVQ or QCF Level 3 / Level 4 in Children and Young People (essential)
  • 2 years' experience in a residential children's home environment (essential)
  • A full Driving Licence (essential)
