Senior Finance Strategist

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Strategist to join our Commissioning Finance Team in NHS England East of England Region. As a key member of the team, you will play a significant role in supporting the Director of Commissioning Finance in leading the Specialised Commissioning Finance Team.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in financial planning, budgeting, and contract management, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality financial services in a complex and dynamic environment.
You will work closely with the commissioning function, providing financial advice on all aspects of specialised commissioning, including senior oversight and input on financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
In addition, you will lead on key projects and procurements as appropriate, coordinate the financial performance of the team within the region, and monitor and manage performance against financial targets and plans.

Key Responsibilities- Provide financial advice on all aspects of specialised commissioning
- Lead on key projects and procurements as appropriate
- Coordinate the financial performance of the team within the region
- Monitor and manage performance against financial targets and plans
- Qualified Accountant (CCAB or CIMA qualified)
- Experience of project and programme management techniques and tools such as Prince 2 or Managing Successful Projects
- Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area
