Job Description:

Cube Hub is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process from start to finish, ensuring that all purchases are made in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter requisitions on behalf of the mill support team for MRO services, capital equipment, and operating supplies.
  • Work with the Mill Stores team to transport parts and equipment to the final location in the mill.
  • Secure parts staging areas in the mill and stage parts for capital projects.
  • Reconcile bills of materials (BOMs) to parts received prior to installation to ensure all parts received.
  • Work with procurement personnel to help expedite parts, find alternate parts, submit invoices, and address any service issues.
  • Ensure contractors scheduled to come on site are approved in the ISN system and work with them to address any issues prior to arrival date.
  • Complete contractor safety orientation with contractors prior to starting a new job.
  • Work with procurement personnel to proactively vet suppliers by category following procurement processes and procedures to ensure supply continuity at the mill level.
  • Pull daily reports of parts pulled from Stores to ensure warranties are executed as available.
  • Work with the Mill host to complete contractor evaluations after completion of a job.
  • Complete capital project Project Spend Reports (PSRs) monthly to forecast spending and budget.
  • Work with the Mill Finance manager to forecast monthly expense spending.
  • Implement mill cost controls to ensure cost center owners approve spend before requisitioning.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with or experience in a Procurement/Purchasing role, preferably in a mill location.
  • Experience working with contractor services (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, engineering).
  • Experience writing scope of work (SOW).
  • Understanding of different types of purchase contracts (T&M, Fixed Cost, GMax Cost) and when to use each type.
  • Knowledge of how to read a bill of materials and validate parts received match.
  • Experience working with vendor front offices to resolve issues (safety training, invoicing, quality of services, etc.).
  • Coupa systems experience is required. SAP systems experience is highly preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work with a variety of mill functions (engineering, maintenance, operations).
  • Ability to work with corporate functions (US and International).
  • Basic understanding of finance principles (authorized, committed, spent, NPV, ROI).
