About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team at Bestwood Village School. As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and safe learning environment for our pupils, promoting positive relationships between peers, and helping every pupil to reach their potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans to meet the individual needs and levels of achievement of each pupil.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to secure high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Lead on curriculum areas and contribute to a lively and stimulating environment.
  • Organise personalised learning activities and experiences that cater to the diverse needs of our pupils.
  • Track, evaluate, assess, and report on the teaching and learning of pupils.
  • Supervise, develop, and manage Teaching Assistants relevant to their responsibilities.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies as necessary.

Requirements

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status/Qualified Teacher Learning & Skills.
  • Have a background of teaching English and Maths, delivering teaching at a good or outstanding level.
  • Primary Teacher with experience in Teaching EYFS Years 1-4.
  • Previous experience in SEND Teaching.
