Job Description

Job Title: Secondary Tutor

Job Type: Contract

Location: Oldham

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Maths and English tutor to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a Secondary Tutor, you will play a vital role in bridging learning gaps, raising attainment, and preparing students for their GCSEs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths and English tuition to students in a classroom and online setting
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to cater to diverse learning needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to ensure seamless student support
  • Conduct regular progress assessments and provide constructive feedback to students
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance

Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Minimum 1 year of UK classroom experience
  • Confidence in teaching online sessions
  • Firm but fair approach to teaching and learning
  • Recent safeguarding training or willingness to undergo Prospero's course
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application
  • Two professional child-related references
