Food Technology Educator

Location: Bury St Edmunds

Salary: £165-£252 per day

Job Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday, Temp to Perm)

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join our team at a school in Bury St Edmunds. This is an exciting opportunity to share your passion for food and nutrition with students at Key Stages 3 and 4.

1. Plan and deliver engaging and creative Food Technology lessons in line with the school's scheme of work.
2. Teach Key Stage 3 and 4 students, ensuring they develop both practical and theoretical knowledge of food and nutrition.
3. Assess, mark, and provide constructive feedback on student work.
4. Participate in parents' evenings and communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress.
5. Engage in extra-curricular activities related to food technology, such as cooking clubs or school events.
6. Attend additional training and development as required.

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Food Tech teaching experience.
2. Previous experience teaching Food Technology in a secondary school setting would be desirable.
3. Must hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
4. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the wider school community.

Competitive daily rates of £165-252.
