Job Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Engineer to join our team at LIBERTY Steel Group. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will play a leading role in ensuring that our maintenance and inspection processes comply with relevant legislation, British and European Standards, and our Business Code of Practice.

About the Role
This exciting opportunity offers a challenging and rewarding career path for an experienced engineer looking to take on a senior role. You will be responsible for managing our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and business statutory reporting system (Prime), ensuring all assets are registered and have the correct reports and inspection regimes in place.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, British and European Standards, and our Business Code of Practice.
- Manage the CMMS to ensure department engineers understand best practice and that the job catalogue is suitable and covers all aspects of statutory and mandatory inspection and maintenance.
- Manage Prime to ensure all assets are registered and have the correct reports and inspection regimes in place.
- Produce regular reports to show the level of compliance across specified areas and investigate reasons around any overdue or outstanding inspections or remedial work.
- Keep up to date with changes to current legislation and communicate these to other engineers.
- Manage and coordinate contractors to service and maintain equipment & systems across the business.

Requirements
- The ideal candidate will be an experienced engineer, ideally qualified to degree level or equivalent, with a detailed knowledge of their appropriate engineering discipline and a working knowledge of other disciplines.
- A proven ability of being self-motivated and a good communicator at all levels is essential.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate a diverse workforce are required.
- Good analytical skills and the ability to assimilate, organise and analyse pertinent information for logic-based problem solving are necessary.
- Ability to meet deadlines and communicate clearly, both in writing and orally, making effective use of communication technology.
