Job Summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our External Reporting Team. As a key member of our Global Business Service Centre, you will play a critical role in preparing statutory financial statements for European legal entities and coordinating external statutory and tax audits.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and review statutory financial statements for multiple European legal entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. Coordinate and manage external statutory and tax audits, working closely with the Centre of Excellence team to ensure timely completion and adherence to external reporting deadlines.
  3. Resolve technical accounting matters and provide expert guidance on financial reporting and compliance.
  4. Complete local statistical reporting requirements and prepare year-end board packs, providing financial performance insights to stakeholders.
  5. Monitor tax compliance calendars and collaborate with third-party advisers to ensure timely submission of tax returns, filings, and payments.
  6. Contribute to process improvements within the PPI team and work collaboratively with finance and non-finance teams across the organization.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in statutory reporting, management accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with ERPs (E1, SAP, etc.) and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Prior exposure to tax returns and year-end reporting is advantageous.
