Role Overview

Mortimer House is a hospitality group creating dynamic environments that nurture professionals and guests. We are seeking a Financial Analyst Trainee to join our finance team, supporting the growth of our expanding business.

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong numerical skills to assist in revenue management and sales ledger accounting. Key responsibilities include preparing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports, managing deferred revenue, and reconciling accounts receivable.

Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare financial reports and analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
  • Manage deferred revenue, ensuring timely recognition of revenue as performance obligations are met.
  • Daily cash up process, including reconciliation of receipts against the ledger and payment providers.
Accounts Receivable Management
  • Manage the company's sales ledger, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Verify discrepancies and resolve clients' billing issues when received.
Month End Close and Reporting
  • Support completion of monthly management accounts by completing relevant journals.
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts as part of the month end process.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations of revenue-related accounts.
Requirements
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong Excel skills, including HLookup Tables and accurate data entry processing skills.
  • Proficiency in English and MS Office.
  • Experience with accounting software, such as Xero or Sage.
  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
