The successful applicant will have a strong background in nuclear criticality safety assessment and experience with relevant code applications.
This is a permanent role, and the successful applicant will be part of our major programme safety case team, providing nuclear criticality modelling and safety assessment.
About the Role- As the Safety Case Modeller, you will undertake criticality assessments and associated activities, interfacing with engineering, project management, and document management functions.
- You will act in any criticality or equivalent role, supporting the Safety Case Manager and wider EUP safety case and engineering leads when requested.
- You will assist the Head of Profession in capability development and establishment of resource strategies, recruitment plans, and competence.
- You will advise Amentum and client leadership on regulatory compliance, standards, and guidance.
- You will interface as necessary with suppliers and support the client in interactions with regulators and safety committees.
- Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent education).
- UK and international standards and practices, American Nuclear Society, and ONR Technical Assessment Guides.
- Nuclear criticality safety assessment and HAZAN production experience.
- Relevant code (MONK, MCNP etc.) application experience in a wide range of operations and fault scenarios.
- Nuclear hazard identification and analytical tools knowledge.
- Security Clearance and Developed Vetting willingness.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
