Job Overview

We are seeking a clinical psychologist to join our pilot service for supporting adults with type 1 diabetes and disordered eating (T1DE) living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

The role involves working closely with a highly skilled diabetes multidisciplinary team to provide specialist assessment and psychological therapy to those with diabetes and disordered eating.

As the lead psychological practitioner in the UHL T1DE service, you will work with other members of the MDT to provide quality psychological triage, assessment and hold a small caseload of time-limited psychotherapy treatment to patients living with type 1 and disordered eating.

There are opportunities to contribute to furthering local team understanding of T1DE, as well as supporting training in the diabetes team you will primarily be working into.

The post holder will be supported by the Medical Psychology Service, which is friendly, supportive, and flexible.

We place great emphasis on supervision and personal development, which is possible through working within a psychology department.
