Medical Director of Primary Care Services

We are seeking an experienced Medical Director to lead our Primary Care Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to drive clinical excellence and improve patient care in our urgent care clinics.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering safe, high-quality services and playing a key role in shaping our organisational culture. They will work closely with the leadership team to develop strategies, ensure compliance with governance frameworks, and champion best practices within the healthcare community.
Main Responsibilities:- Lead and inspire a team of medical professionals, fostering a culture of trust, compassion, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure clinical governance and professional standards are upheld, aligning with NHS guidelines and medical regulations.
- Support staff development through mentoring, audit feedback, and ensuring mandatory training compliance.
- Recruit, induct, and develop medical staff, guaranteeing they are fully qualified and equipped to deliver their roles.
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A strong background in primary care, preferably in an urgent care setting.
- Experience in audit and improving patient care.
- Mandatory qualifications: MBBS or equivalent medical degree, full GMC registration, Certification of Completion of Training (JCPTGP/PMETB), Inclusion on Performers List, MRCGP, and up-to-date knowledge of clinical practice.
