Physiotherapist for Acute Care

This role involves providing physiotherapy care for acute adult inpatients, with a focus on complex discharge planning, acute rehabilitation for patients with chronic diseases, and the management of neuro and respiratory conditions. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in acute adult inpatient settings and be skilled in managing acutely deteriorating patients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of acute adult inpatient cases, including those with complex discharge needs. They will provide physiotherapy for patients with chronic conditions, acute rehabilitation needs, and neuro-related conditions. A key aspect of the role will be managing acutely deteriorating patients, including the use of cough assist devices and tracheostomy management.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent clinical reasoning and decision-making skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
