UK Sales Leadership Role

Talent Magpie seeks a seasoned Sales Director to lead our UK Business Development team and drive growth in the European market.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in business development, with a proven track record of new business acquisition and a strong network in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive new business and establish lasting partnerships across Europe.
- Headhunt and network to secure new clients, specifically in software development services.
- Design tailored solutions that meet client needs, covering the full project scope.
- Foster strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and secure repeat business.
- Collaborate with recruitment and delivery teams to address skill gaps and ensure successful project execution.
- Develop, coach, and mentor your team, setting the tone for excellence and achievement of business development goals.
- Act as an entrepreneurial leader, identifying opportunities for innovation, growth, and process improvements.
- Oversee the region's financial health, working closely with the CFO to manage profitability and margins.
- Enhance the company's brand presence by participating in marketing initiatives and attending industry conferences.
Job Requirements:
- 10+ years of business development experience in the IT services industry.
- Proven success in building and executing commercial strategies that drive sustained growth.
- Demonstrated excellence in selling IT or software services to enterprise-level clients.
- Strong track record of new business acquisition and an established network in the UK market.
- Experience in offshoring software services, particularly to regions such as India.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with experience leading high-performing business development teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strategic thinking skills to drive business growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel to meet clients and build strong relationships.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree; an MBA or equivalent is preferred.
Salary: £120,000 per annum, plus uncapped bonus. Travel to London may be required to meet with the rest of the team.
