Audit Manager Job Description

As an Audit Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of audit and assurance assignments, ensuring their effective and timely completion while maintaining the highest quality of standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Plan and carry out audit assignments for clients, ensuring the audit team is on track and completing audit work within the allocated timetable and budget.
  • Control and supervise junior staff, both in the UK and in India, to ensure the delivery of high-quality audit services.
  • Communicate with clients on the progress of the audit and meet with them to discuss audit and accounts-related matters.
  • Advise clients on areas of business improvement and negotiate the terms of business with clients as required.
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing and receipt, as well as regular dialogue with the India team.
  • Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices, maintaining professional and technical knowledge through CPD courses, workshops, and professional publications.
  • Travel to other Group offices and related clients as reasonably required, and assist the Business Development team in acquiring new clients.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience (ACA/ACCA) ideally in a practice environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS, with consolidation experience, especially with overseas subsidiaries, and sound knowledge of ISA's.
  • Good report writing skills and ability to manage a team of up to 10 staff, competent with CaseWare, IRIS, and familiar with the Mercia methodology.
Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £55,000 to £65,000, depending on experience, and offers a 37.5-hour working week, Monday to Friday, with office-based work. Candidates may also be interested in related roles, such as Audit, Auditing, and Accountancy positions.
