About the Role

As a Senior Legal Assistant in our Health Litigation team, you will play a vital role in assisting fee earners with their caseloads and potentially taking on your own litigated claims. You may also be involved in a long-term secondment to a client NHS Trust, acting as their claims assistant and reporting on received claims.

About the Team

You will join one of the fastest-growing teams in Hill Dickinson, with a national coverage and over 100 lawyers. Our Health Litigation team has received major recognition for its work, including being named Legal Services Provider of the Year by the Health Service Journal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting fee earners with their caseloads
  • Considering liability and quantum issues
  • Drafting witness statements and internal reports
  • Assessing quantum and considering settlement options
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to deliver technically accurate advice to clients and work to deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with clients
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of the market and sector
