Job Overview

The Programme Administrator role is a part-time position, working 24 hours per week over 3-4 days, with a minimum 50% office-based requirement. This role is part of the InHealth Group, the UK's largest specialist provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions.

Main Responsibilities

The post-holder will deliver high-quality administrative support to the Diabetic Eye Screening Service. This includes assisting in the day-to-day running of the service, helping with general office duties, answering phones, taking minutes, updating records, and maintaining stock levels.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Dealing with telephone and direct enquiries in a prompt and effective manner, ensuring the provision of information and prioritization of queries as appropriate.
  2. Assisting with arranging programme meetings and taking notes.
  3. Placing stationery orders via the online procurement system, managing delivery and invoice reconciliation.
  4. Performing Fire Warden duties, with training provided.
  5. Utilizing relevant IT systems to support the delivery of a high-quality imaging service.
  6. Assisting with monthly programme reports.
  7. Complying with ISO standards, respecting and protecting confidentiality.
  8. Reporting any incidents, feedback, or complaints effectively.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, good listening skills, and the ability to present information in a logical manner. They will also have a good standard of education, demonstrated by numeracy and literacy. Experience in working in a customer or patient-facing role, ideally within a healthcare setting, is desirable.

Working Environment

The Programme Administrator will work in a fast-paced environment, supporting the delivery of a high-quality imaging service. They will be required to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service and maintaining confidentiality.
