We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Band 3 Healthcare Assistant to join our team at the Ministry of Defence's Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) organisation. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the delivery of our healthcare services.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical care to patients, including taking blood samples, wound care, and health promotion. You will also support the delivery of our services by providing administrative support, such as ordering clinical supplies. Additionally, you will work collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary team to meet the needs of our patients and support the delivery of our policy and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care as delegated by a registered practitioner, working within your own competence and keeping up to date with relevant training.
- Support resupply administration functions within the practice, maintaining medical stores, ordering stock, and resupplying clinical areas.
- Provide safe, evidence-based, cost-effective, and individualised patient care as delegated, prioritising your workload and ensuring effective time management strategies are embedded in your practice.
- Carry out patient health checks, including health screening and measurements, and recording previous medical history, family history, and current medications.
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous records to relevant professional standards/guidelines.
To be considered for this role, you will need to hold a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3 Health and Social Care (or equivalent) and demonstrate the required skills, knowledge, experience, qualifications, and memberships in your CV. You will also need to be able to work collaboratively with our team and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
