The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of the project, ensuring that costs remain within budget and that all contractual obligations are met.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in quantity surveying, with experience in managing projects up to £10 million. They will also have excellent organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates from inception through to project completion
  • Monitor and control project expenditure to ensure costs remain within budget
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and quality services
  • Administer contract changes and manage variations to ensure project objectives are met
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and manage any disputes or claims effectively
  • Conduct regular valuations of ongoing work, assess the value of completed work, and issue payment certificates
  • Evaluate and certify subcontractor and supplier payments
  • Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Conduct risk assessments and prepare contingency plans to address any unforeseen issues
  • Maintain accurate records of all project costs, variations, and contractual changes
  • Prepare and present detailed cost reports, forecasts, and final accounts

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience
