Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Trainee Freight Forwarder at Spring Resourcing Solutions Ltd. As a Trainee Freight Forwarder, you will be responsible for managing shipments from start to finish, including pricing, planning, and coordinating with agents and customers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Respond to inbound customer queries for quotations and provide timely and accurate responses.
  • Freight Management: Price shipments using tariffs set by carriers and agents, and organize the completion of correct paperwork, including customs entries.
  • Transportation Coordination: Agree on the correct modes of transport, container sizes, and other logistics details.
  • Tracking and Updates: Monitor shipments and update customers on any delays, damages, or lost goods.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure repeat business.
Requirements:
  • Administration Experience: Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a logistics or transportation environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work with customers, agents, and internal stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, with a strong understanding of logistics and transportation processes.
  • Pressure Management: Ability to work calmly under pressure and manage competing priorities.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive Salary: £23,000 - £26,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Regular Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pm.
