Maintenance Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee our team of 10 experienced maintenance engineers. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the team to maximize the effectiveness and utilization of our UK Plant and Engineering resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply a proactive approach to prevent equipment failure through Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and respond efficiently to breakdowns.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations, including health & safety, food safety, and personal protective equipment (PPE) standards.
  • Manage and resolve mechanical and electrical issues promptly, utilizing strong problem-solving abilities in either electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Manage computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance effectiveness.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, working closely with the manufacturing team to achieve quality, waste reduction, and efficiency targets, while maintaining a structured 12-month maintenance plan.
Requirements:
  • Must hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • At least 3 years of proven management experience in a maintenance or engineering role.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
