Advanced Orthopaedic and Soft Tissue Surgical Veterinary Surgeon

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Medivet Hendon 24-Hour. As a leading veterinary care provider, we offer a dynamic and supportive environment where you can excel in your career.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a strong leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional care to our patients. You will be working alongside our experienced surgical team, including one other orthopaedic/advanced soft tissue Surgeon and two soft tissue Surgeons. Our hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including TPLOs, spinals, arthroscopy, laparascopy, endoscopy, CT, and MRI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries, including TPLOs, spinals, and fracture repair.
  • Support nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, with a focus on clinic performance and efficiency.
  • Use coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical best practice within and across practices.

Requirements
  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Surgical certificate or above.
  • Ability to perform TPLO/TTAs or equivalent, spinals, fracture repair, and complex soft tissue surgeries.
  • Experience of supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures.
  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
