About the Role

  • We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to support a student with SEND requirements starting in November 2024.
  • You will work as part of a large multi-skilled team, providing support and assistance to students across a range of subjects.
  • This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and develop your skills and knowledge in this area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting a student with SEND requirements, including assisting with their educational and personal needs.
  • Working collaboratively with the teaching staff and other members of the support team to ensure that the student receives the best possible support.
  • Providing general classroom support, including preparing materials, supervising students during lessons, and assisting with break times.

Person Specification

  • A minimum of 3 months' experience working with students who have SEND requirements.
  • An ability to work well as part of a large multi-skilled team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a positive attitude and a sense of humour.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Excellent emotional intelligence and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
