As a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer at Warburtons, you will be part of a collaborative shift team working alongside production, safety, and hygiene departments. Your key responsibilities will include performing planned and preventative maintenance, using your engineering expertise to develop robust, long-term solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Tackling a wide variety of tasks, from general plant maintenance to enhancing plant reliability and pre-emptively diagnosing issues.
- Working in a cutting-edge, highly automated 24/7 food manufacturing environment.
- Fostering and implementing new ideas and perspectives while driving continuous improvement.
- Identifying and completing continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing plant efficiency, reducing downtime, and saving energy and associated costs.
In return, we will support and encourage the development of your technical skills with additional training and coaching.
Essential requirements include:
- Electrically biased Engineer preferred with experience of mechanical engineering.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Knowledge and experience of maintenance in preferably a FMCG/manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with H&S and Food Safety systems and legislation (e.g., PUWER, IOSH).
- Ability to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
- Understanding of PLC and control systems (desirable but not essential).
- Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC, BTEC, or equivalent).
