We are a leading manufacturer in the field, and we're looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team on a permanent basis.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating machining centers to produce components to required specifications. They will also work on necessary workshop equipment, primarily conventional machines such as lathes and milling machines.

Responsibilities:

  • Set and operate machining center to produce components to required specification
  • Work on necessary workshop equipment, primarily conventional machines such as lathes and milling machines
  • Implement project schedules and plans in a timely and effective manner
  • Establish productive working relationships with engineering, planning, and design teams
  • Carry out periodic cleaning and preventative machinery maintenance where applicable

Requirements:

  • Apprenticeship time served in Mechanical Engineering or Toolmaking
  • Experience within CNC machining
  • Experience in CNC setting/operation preferably with Fanuc/Mazatrol or Siemens
  • Ability to interpret complex mechanical drawings and work to BS8888 drawing standards and other associated BS standards
  • Practical approach to problem solving and ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Self-motivated individual with high attention to detail

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
