About the Role:

Alexander Steele Recruitment is partnering with a leading food manufacturer to fill an exciting opportunity for an NPD Process Technologist in their NPD department. This role is responsible for the smooth and efficient transition of products from concept through to market launch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with various teams to meet deadlines, manage resources, and ensure that products meet quality and regulatory standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the factory, driving operational efficiencies, reducing costs, and enhancing productivity to support the business's overall success and profitability.
• Work collaboratively with operations and production for all upcoming production trials and ensure they are undertaken within the agreed time-scales and schedules.
• Coordinate pre-production and launch preparation, ensuring accurate documentation of settings for all machinery and filing in product manuals.
• Work with technical, commercial, and operations teams to ensure that products meet the agreed specification.
• Document and photograph products, ensuring filing in the finished product manuals.
• Collaborate with the Technical team to establish an effective process for full-scale production.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 year's experience working in a similar role within a food manufacturing environment.
• A food science degree or equivalent.
• Good project management and problem-solving skills.
• Food Safety and HACCP qualifications.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility with working hours to ensure all deadlines are met.
