Please note, due to the nature of the service, it is an occupational requirement that the post holder is female and the post is therefore exempt from the provisions of the Equality Act 2010 in terms of Schedule 9, Part 1, and Paragraph 1 of the Act.

A role has arisen for a Night Support Worker in Yarnton, working at a highly respected charity within their supported housing services on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working within a residential setting with women who have complex needs and/or past traumas
  • Engage with the women providing emotional support and deal with any incidents at night
  • Ensure records are updated correctly
  • Conduct handovers with day staff at the end of the shift, ensuring everything is communicated correctly
  • Monitor and administer clients' medication
  • Deal with issues and escalate to the on-call manager or police if required
  • Deal with any fire safety issues and ensure all smoke detectors are working correctly and checked

Requirements:

  • An Enhanced DBS from within the last year
  • Experience or an interest in working with vulnerable people
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft packages
