About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at Hiscox. As a key member of our People team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering analytics solutions to drive business insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data visualizations to communicate complex data insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business problems into data-driven solutions.
  • Develop and maintain datasets for use in analysis.
  • Provide general BAU support to the business, including training and mentoring.
  • Apply DevOps/DataOps principles in practice.
  • Field ad-hoc queries and requests from the business.

Requirements:

  • Strong skills in business intelligence, data engineering, data analysis, or data visualization.
  • Experience working in HR/People teams and familiarity with their data is desirable but not essential.
  • Significant expertise with modern analytics/BI platforms like Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
  • Significant understanding of data preparation tools like Alteryx Designer, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, MS Power Platform.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts.
  • Ability to analyze and translate business problems into data-driven solutions.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Degree in Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline.
