Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our Banking Product Control team at NatWest Group.
As a key member of our team, you will lead a small team with responsibility for the delivery of end-to-end financial control activities. You will be responsible for proactively establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with key customers and stakeholders, as well as collaborating closely with the wider finance team.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in a large multinational organisation, with substantial experience in a financial services environment. A professional accountancy qualification is required, along with proficiency in accounting and experience leading, motivating and directing a small team.
You will bring in-depth knowledge and experience in interlinked financial systems and accounting procedures, as well as experience of implementing business process and procedural change in a complex business environment.
Responsibilities will include ensuring the integrity of monthly, quarterly and annual financial information across our businesses, including balance sheet, profit and loss account, fixed assets accounting, legal entity recharge accounting and supporting data. You will comply with relevant policies and consider and escalate the adequacy and effectiveness of the business's controls.
You will shape the strategy and operating model for financial control, with the overriding objective of establishing and maintaining trust and confidence of customers and stakeholders. This includes making sure the impacts of external and internal changes in policy and legislation are fully embedded on time, driving a continuous improvement culture in the team and monitoring data analysis, consolidation and inputs for external reporting, including statutory reporting and regulatory reporting.
